Kiloview Released U40, a 4K NDI® Codec

Changsha, China – JANUARY 25, 2020 – Kiloview today launched the U40, a gear that gets any camera into a NDI® camera. Kiloview U40 easily converts HDMI/USB/IP streams to NDI® with up to 4K60 compatible. With only one network cable, video sources from conference cameras, HDMI cameras, USB cameras and others can easily go into the NDI® world and enjoy the advantages of IP-based transmission featuring ultra-high image quality and ultra-low latency.
“The concept we develop U40 encoder is to provide a unit that can be put with any of a conference camera or other camera, and in one second we turn it to be a NDI camera. With NDI becoming strong and versatile in video’s easy transmission, we hereby integrate PTZ control with NDI full fat and NDI∣HX on the one hand,” Said Jacob, the CTO of Kiloview and the software developer of U40 encoder. “On the other, we provide dual ethernet with which a conference camera functions with network, POE exchanger to power U40 encoder itself as well as to power your monitor, recorder, or even your cameras with output no less than 15W power, and many bright and neat tally lights, which you can see from our videos.”
With Comprehensive NDI® performance, Kiloview U40 converts HDMI to NDI® with up to real 4Kp60 resolution. In addition, it is compatible with NDI®∣HX: U40 also convert IP streams such as SRT/RTMP/RTSP/UDP/HLS to NDI®∣HX (Available when software is upgraded.)
U40 encoder is designed in round shape, making it the most exquisite one in the market. With integration of many functions including network switching, NDI® encoding, heat dissipation, POE and DC Out, it is the most complex encoder in Kiloview ever and in the industry featuring multi-functional, small and beautiful.
What else are special this time?
First, we offer two methods for fixing hot shoe - Either install on the camera upright or install on the bottom of the encoder and equip on the camera. Second, we also offered dual Gigabit Ethernet ports which can be applied to two different networks simultaneously. Third, it also supports PTZ control thus it receives the PTZ signal sent by the NDI® production system or NDI® decoder, and then control the PTZ camera through the serial port (232/485, etc.) or network. Last, for better heat dissipation, we have aluminum alloy as material with better thermal conductivity compared to plastic or others, and a working scheme with heat dissipation holes on the top as well as an aluminum alloy heat sink on the chip with a multi-edge and multi-slot structure. U40 encoder just makes everything in a studio exceptionally easy and amazing.
