Creating Online Talk Shows with Skype and NewTek NDI® in XSplit Broadcaster

September 17, 2018 by Chuck Baker

The good folks at XSplit share a tutorial on how to create a talkshow using XSplit Broadcaster with multiple guests coming in via the new NDI® capability in the latest public release of Skype for Content Creators. Popular with gamers for streaming gameplay and producing social video for gaming communities, XSplit offers both free and commercial versions. Skype for Content Creators adds a variety of capabilities that make Skype a valuable enhancement tool for social video and for video production, including the new ability to use NDI streams of live or pre-recorded content as the source for video for Skype.

NewTek’s NDI is a royalty free IP technology enabling compatible products to share video, audio, and data across a local area network. Using refined encoding and communication, NDI allows systems, devices and applications to identify and communicate bi-directionally with one another over IP, and to encode, transmit, and receive multiple streams of high quality, low latency, frame-accurate video and audio in real time. Integrated into thousands of products in the hands of millions of users, NDI is the leading standard for IP video production.
